On the Pershore Road, the ward boundary starts from the joining of the River Rea along the back of the Birmingham Nature Centre and encompasses the Selly Park Tavern, Pebble Mill Playing Fields and part of the Ten Acres Estate. The boundary ends at Stirchley Bowl and includes only a small number of shops that are part of the Stirchley community.
The ward boundary ends at Weoley Park Road and Weoley Avenue and continues to run along the Bourn Brook until the Birmingham Nature Centre where it adjoins the River Rea.
Many parts of the ward are extremely attractive places to live in, it has a pleasant environment with many open spaces and parks and excellent links by bus and rail to Birmingham City Centre and other major attractions within the City. It has very close links with Birmingham University and has one of the city’s main hospitals, Selly Oak Hospital which is run by the University Hospital Trust.
