Places of interest to visitors include Cadbury World, Selly Manor and Minworth Greaves, Carillon Visitor Centre, the Church of St Lazar, and the River Rea Walkway/Heritage Trail.
The ward is well served by local transport networks – bus services, the Cross City railway line, the River Rea Millennium Cycle Route and the Worcester and Birmingham canal.
Facilities in the ward include primary schools, secondary schools, Stirchley Library on Bournville Lane, Birmingham City University – Bournville Centre for Visual Arts, Stirchley Community Centres, Masefield Community Centre, Stirchley Indoor Bowls Centre, bowling greens, allotment sites and play areas. There are two main shopping centres located at Cotteridge and Stirchley.
