What a week! Busy!
The venues for the community performances have now all been finalised: Aston, Balsall Heath and Small Heath libraries are onboard!
All I need is to find a centrally located venue in Birmingham, another library would be ace!
This week’s highlights have been:
1. Elders club in Newtown; dominoes, milky tea and chats
2. Meeting Mr. Mo at Small Heath library, a gentleman who has the driest sense of humour and lots of enthusiasm
3. Lots of useful advice from Clare Edwards & SaM’s Richard Whitelaw
3. Securing key artists to assist in the project
4. Loads of admin support from Andrene
5. Feeling like the project is in motion and has a real purpose
6. Sonically and humanistically engaging with Newtown and Small Heath neighbourhoods
