Oscott Ward, in the Northern part of the City, was mainly farm land, until the estate was built in the 1930s.
It includes the former Booths Farm sand quarry, Aldridge Road Recreation Ground, Birmingham City (“Witton”) Cemetery and Kingstanding Circle.
It is part of the Parliamentary Constituency of Perry Barr. Oscott Ward is located in the North West of the City, borders Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council, includes the neighbourhoods of Perry Beeches, Kingstanding (part), Old Oscott and Queslett, and forms part of the Perry Barr Parliamentary Constituency.
